I am a Finnish-Norwegian architect, urbanist, and academic. I am currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Copenhagen, where I study urban flood adaptation in collaboration with the Mitigating Sea Level Rise research group. I am also employed at Åbo Akademi’s crossdisciplinary research network The Sea. My own Ph.D. project seeks to develop new methods for nature-based coastal adaptation inspired by vernacular flood-resilient typologies.

I hold a Master’s degree from the Royal Danish Academy’s Institute for Architecture, Urbanism, and Landscape (2019). I gained my Bachelor’s degree in architecture from Aalto University (2016). I have worked in architectural offices in Finland, Denmark, and Norway, designing diverse urban and infrastructural projects. In my practice, I have specialized in sustainable construction and climate adaptation projects.

At the moment, my work is displayed at the exhibition Coastal Imaginaries at the Danish Pavilion in the 18th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia. My other artistic and curatorial contributions include the 2018 Spring Exhibition at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen, and an exhibition opening in 2024 at the Danish Architecture Center. I am also co-author of the book Critical Coast, published in 2023 by Danish Architectural Press.

The common thread connecting all my endeavors is a curiosity for urban history and transformation, local vernacular typologies, and nature-based climate resiliency. My academic work has been supported by institutions like the Finnish Cultural Foundation, Danish Arts Foundation, and the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland. I have had the privilege to develop my craft at international art residencies such as the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (Artist in Residence 2022) and the Finnish Institute in Rome (Architecture Fellow 2018).
